A ferretto, a small stick, is found in southern Italian kitchens.
“Ferro” means iron. A Ferretto is therefore a small iron.
You wrap pasta dough around this iron and let it dry slightly. Thanks to the brass material, the noodle comes off easily without leaving a lot of flour stuck.

- Sicily: Busiate or Busiati.
