Material: Solid beech wood treated with food certified oil

 

What can the pestle do?

Without a pestle, place a first plate of pasta on the ravioli mold and press the plate into the mold with your finger.
This step can be optimized by using the pestle.

Now pour in the filling, place a second pasta plate on top and slowly roll it over the dough plate with a rolling pin. The dough sheets are closed and separated at the same time.

Notes on surface and care:

The pestle is treated with certified food grade oil.
When you touch it, you feel like it is waxed, but it is the oil for food use.
Before using it for the first time, it is recommended to wash the pestle with water and detergent. The oil applied is waterproof and protects it.

After the first rinse, the wood will feel slightly rough, this is completely normal for wood and is not a defect. On the contrary, the rough texture makes it easier to remove the dough from the wood.

After use, you can wash the pestle with a toothbrush and, if necessary, a little warm water.
Please ensure that the pestle is dry and no longer moist before storage.

Attention: Please do not clean in the dishwasher.
