Kasterl for Philips pasta maker matrices with acrylic glass lid

In Austria this storage system is affectionately called “Kasterl”.

Over the years you have accumulated a few POM matrices for the Philips Pastmaker Avance and are you looking for a nice storage option that protects your matrices at the same time?
How about this wooden cassette?

The Kasterl has a sliding lid made of acrylic glass for quick opening. The acrylic glass gives you a perfect view at all times.
Internal dimensions: 330 x 210 x 30 mm
External dimensions: 347 x 226 x 40 mm

Since wood is a natural product, the box can have different grains. The acrylic glass lid comes with a film on both sides so that it arrives scratch-free. After receiving you just have to peel off the film.

Inside there is space for the POM matrices from the Philips pasta maker with a diameter of approx. 8 cm.
You have two options:
With the separately available shelf you can neatly store 6 POM matrices plus cleaning tools, each matrix then has its own place. The shelf is there here.
Or you can do without the shelf and place the matrices in the box like this. Then up to 11 POM matrices fit into the box.

We deliberately designed the box so that it takes up as little space as possible. You can also stack several wooden cassettes (with the same length/width there is also storage for the smaller bronze matrices) on top of each other and expand them upwards when new matrices are added. The Kasterl is deliberately designed so that when several Kasterl with acrylic glass lids are stacked on top of each other, the acrylic glass lids do not touch each other, thus avoiding scratches.

Here in the version with acrylic glass lid, without engraving.
